Project Summary
MeetCute was an initiative designed to redefine how people make relationships on dating apps in an increasingly digital world. Created as an added feature on Bumble, MeetCute aims to facilitate authentic connections through in-person community events. The project involved developing the branding, user experience strategies, and interactive campaigns to bring the concept to life.
Concept and Inspiration
The inspiration for MeetCute came from the idea that the best connections often start in the most unexpected ways and places, through shared interests. We wanted to capture this spontaneity and translate it into an intentional experience for users who look for authentic connections on such dating apps.
Development Process
We began with:
– Extensive research into existing dating-based platforms and social behaviors around making new connections.
– Conducted a survey to understand the current problems users face with Bumble.
– Developed the brand identity of this feature, in relation with the current app and designed the user experience, social media creatives and advertising campaigns for this new feature.
Challenges, Reflections and Key Takeaways
This project expanded my understanding of how branding and advertising extends beyond visuals, it’s about creating experiences. It also strengthened my ability to work collaboratively, ensuring that every team member’s input contributed to the final vision of this project.
